This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for services provided through inkandchapter.com, which is owned and operated by Autech Innovative LLC, a limited liability company registered in Illinois ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing a service, you agree to the terms below. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Discovery calls, consultations, and written quotes are provided free of charge and carry no obligation. You are only charged once you approve a quote and choose to begin a project.
Most projects begin with a deposit and are billed in milestones tied to the work delivered (for example, outline, first draft, editing pass, or final files). Each milestone payment covers the work completed for that stage. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment providers, who act as the merchant of record for the transaction.
You may request a full refund of a deposit if you cancel before any work has begun on your project. If work has already started, you may request a refund for the portion of the current milestone that has not yet been performed. Refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis for work not yet completed at the time of your written cancellation.
If you are not satisfied with a deliverable, please tell us before requesting a refund. Our services include reasonable revisions, and we will work with you to correct or improve the work so it meets the agreed scope. Many concerns are resolved quickly through revisions rather than cancellation.

Where a project includes marketing or advertising, amounts spent on ad platforms and other third-party services are passed through at cost and are non-refundable once committed or spent, as those funds are paid to the relevant platform and are outside our control. To request a refund, email contact@inkandchapter.com from the address associated with your project, with your name, order or invoice details, and the reason for your request. We aim to acknowledge every request within 3 business days.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through the same payment provider used for your purchase. Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 7 to 14 business days, though the time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
If you have any concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Filing a chargeback before contacting us may delay resolution. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks with documentation of the services and deliverables provided.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date.
